I was born in Denville, NJ and grew up there as the oldest of nine children in a normal Catholic family.

I attended the University of Scranton on a basketball scholarship and majored in Psychology and Philosophy. I also spent 2 years at Michigan State University as a graduate student in mass communications.

I lived in San Francisco, where I was a musician in popular music bands and continued with that in Los Angeles. I  play the flute, bass guitar and synthesizer. I am also a trained piano tuner.

I got married for the first time at age 40 and moved to Minneapolis for 10 years. I stayed married for 13 years before divorcing in 1999. I have two teenage sons. I have recently remarried and am enjoying life with my new spouse Maria.

My spiritual quest has taken me through experiences with Swami Muktananda, Elizabeth Clare Prophet, Paula Sunray and most recently Sheradon Bryce. One thing I've learned from all of that is that you need to retain your own self as the supreme authority over your life.
